SANYANG RPO 220 — Low-PAH Rubber Process Oil
SANYANG RPO 220 is a rubber process oil with standardised polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon content, used as an extender for synthetic rubbers and as a plasticiser in tyre and rubber goods compounds. Produced by selective purification of crude oil extract, it meets the same PAH limits as TDAE at a lower aromaticity and a lower price point. Malaysian origin. Supplied ex-Pasir Gudang with batch-specific certificates of analysis as standard.
RPO 220 is not TDAE
Its aromaticity is lower — aniline point up to 95 °C and Ca minimum 20%, against TDAE's 64–75 °C and Ca minimum 25%.
It meets the same REACH PAH limits, but contributes less to wet grip in tread compounds.
Where a formulation is specified around TDAE, substitution requires reformulation work rather than a straight swap.

Frequently asked
Can RPO 220 replace TDAE?
Not directly. RPO 220 has lower aromaticity (aniline point up to 95 °C, Ca min 20%) than TDAE (64–75 °C, Ca min 25%) and contributes less to wet grip in tread compounds. Where a formulation is specified around TDAE, substitution requires reformulation work.
Is RPO 220 REACH compliant?
Yes. Benzo[a]pyrene does not exceed 1 mg/kg and the sum of individual PAHs does not exceed 10 mg/kg, measured to EN 16143.
What packing is available?
Road tanks, railway tanks, rail-containers and IBC containers. ISO tank is not a standard packing option for this grade. Shelf life is 24 months.
Does RPO 220 require heating?
Generally yes. With a pour point up to 15 °C the product is semi-solid at cooler ambient temperatures and requires heated handling for discharge.
What documentation is issued?
Batch-specific COA, EN 16143:2013 PAH analysis, SDS, certificate of origin (ASEAN e-Form D where applicable), and sealed loading samples on request.
